When you own your own computer, after a while you may notice it doesn't exactly run as "streamline" as the day you bought it. As our needs change, our computers should change too. If you've had your computer for a while, but don't feel you are getting the most out of it, this service might be just what the doctor ordered.

Clues that your system may need a reinstall of Windows:

  • Even without viruses or spyware, as time goes by, your system doesn't seem to run as fast as it used to.

  • When you look at your desktop, half of the shortcuts are to programs you don't use anymore, or you might not even remember why you had them in the first place.

  • All your save files are in so many different places that finding just one is a tedious task.

  • Your computer is frequently crashing during programs or important documents.

  • The startup and shutdown process is very slow, or ends up crashing somewhere in between.

  • Your system is over a year old and gets used every day by multiple people in your household.

All these examples refer to issues that can be fixed with a simple Operating System reinstall (Windows). There's an excellent chance you spent a pretty penny on your computer, so before you go out and spend more money on a new one, let us help you get the most out of what you already have. A reinstall can really make all the difference in the world, without losing any saved files or information. To ensure optimum performance, we recommend the following process be done at least once per year.

 

The Darklight Solution:

  1. Written consultation and agreement of Windows version,  programs to be added, and important save file information.

  2. Backup ALL information on your computer. Every bit of your irreplaceable data gets stored on our network until our process is complete and you are satisfied.

  3. Complete reinstall of Windows from provided CDs or diskettes.

  4. Complete reinstall and testing of all hardware.

  5. Update your Windows platform to the most recent revision, including service packs and security updates.

  6. Reinstall all programs on your machine that was previously agreed upon from provided CDs and diskettes, including shareware and freeware.

  7. Restore all saved files from our system.

  8. When satisfied, remove all your stored data from our network.
